Project Focus: Herding Hill Farm
WCF tasked us with the translation of the site rules for their 5-star Touring, Camping & Glamping site at Herding Hill Farm into 3 European languages, to ensure everyone is safe and happy in their camping or glamping experience.
In an idyllic rural location with dark skies and gorgeous sunsets, this dog friendly campsite is geared mostly towards families and offers a mix of accommodation, including excellent grass tent pitches, spacious serviced hard standings, a 6-berth lodge, family friendly wigwam cabins, and a luxurious glamping area exclusively for adults. And luckily, the site is open all year round. The award winning luxury amenities building provides excellent facilities such as power showers, a family bathroom, private bathrooms with baths, a sauna, a drying room, underfloor heating and an indoor camper's kitchen.
Herding Hill Farm is in a breathtaking location right in the heart of Northumberland National Park. Only 1 mile away from the UNESCO World Heritage site Hadrian's Wall, and close to Vindolanda Roman Fort & Museum and Housesteads Roman Fort, there is so much history close at hand to explore, on foot and/or using the AD 122 Hadrian's Wall Country Bus (the bus stop is next to the entrance of Herding Hill Farm).
The near-by Sill National Landscape Discovery Centre is a perfect destination for a rest day, or when the weather is challenging. It boasts fascinating permanent as well as temporary exhibitions, and the views from the café with its floor to ceiling windows are spectacular.
The Herding Hill newly converted, luxury VW T6 camper van is available for hire to campers who want to discover other stunning landscapes and explore different times in our history, e.g. the Northumberland Coast with its pristine beaches and fascinating castles, and Holy Island, a cradle of Christianity in Northern England and Southern Scotland.
June 2nd: Well done to Herding Hill Farm for achieving an AA Platinum Pennant! AA Platinum Pennants recognise the very best campsites and caravan parks that consistently offer outstanding camping experiences. “Stylish, upmarket glamping options with stunning views” was the assessment of the AA Inspector.
